How to Book a Room in Legacy Outlook

To book/reserve a room in the Outlook desktop app, follow these instructions:

  1. In the Desktop App, go to the Calendar tab

     
  2. Create a New Meeting

     
  3. Fill in the meeting details as normal, then click on Location
    NOTE: You can click on Don't Host Online if you only want this meeting to be in-person

     
  4. Double click on the room you want to reserve. You will then see the room added on the field below. Once done, click OK

     
  5. The room will be added to the required and locations field. At this point you can click Send when you are ready

     
  6. The room will be highlighted if there is a conflict and you can also use the Scheduling Assistant to assist you with booking a room
